In spite of the passing of Gerald Hitman prior this year, the nurseries at his previous home the Old Zoo, Cherry Drive, Brockhall Village, are to be opened under the National Gardens Scheme on Friday and Sunday.

The shocking 21st Century nursery was made by Mr Hitman more than 15 sections of land when he lived in the Old Zoo and on this event his child Harry Hitman has given his authorization to open them to people in general.

Mr Hitman was a supporter of Crossroads Care in the Ribble Valley and continues from the occasion will go to this and different philanthropies. The nurseries are open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the two days and refreshments are accessible.
